About Us
SP Green Hornets 16U is part of the Greater Severna Park Athletic Association. Over the last three years, the team has developed into one of the top 16U teams in the state of Maryland.
The Hornets play year-round, competing in USA, USSSA, and College Showcase events from PA to SC.
Our goal is to nurture talent and foster teamwork among aspiring young athletes, providing the resources needed for success on and off the field.
SP Green Hornets is made up of players representing 8 different high schools, graduating between 2026 and 2029. This amazing group of athletes from around the state have formed an incredible bond around their love of softball.
Head coach Chris Rom has been coaching softball for over 10 years and is a member of the NFCA. All three members of the staff are former college ballplayers and are passionate about helping young athletes grow and develop through the sport.
